Recent years development of wearables evolves at the edge of the textile - and electronics industry with new demands for the supply chain. Printed electronics is a promising technology that bridges the gap between manufacturing cost, requests for advance vital sign monitoring and washability of most clothing. Endorsement of industry standards and technology capacities goes hand in hand to meet the demand for next generation wearables.
