This deep and engaging panel discussion is part of the TechBlick Health Tech Series and is curated by Alfred Poor, PhD

The human body is a miraculous machine, but for many individuals, its functions are incomplete due to congenital factors, disease, or injury. Modern health tech has worked wonders to help compensate for these losses, including hearing, vision, and mobility. Implants can restore hearing and vision, innovative wearables can compensate for impaired sight, and exoskeletons can help the paralyzed walk. And artificial intelligence (AI) is augmenting the powers of many of these solutions to make them even more effective and affordable. Join this session to learn about what we can do now, and how this field is set to grow rapidly.

Panel 1: What are some of the novel approaches to providing wearable assistance for patients with impaired vision?

Panel 2: How are wearables and mobile devices addressing the needs of patients and healthcare professionals, from communications to mobility?
